Inspired by the volleyball society that I was in before coming to university, I wanted to make a figure that could contribute to volleyball. As a volleyball player, I chose this specific motion because it reminds of myself playing volleyball. I made the left knee and foot movable, as well as the waist area. It is a sliding movement on the waist area so that it can either stay put or slide a bit to give a sense of motion. Other than the figure itself, I also added some words that we use to say when playing volleyball. Because communication is vital in a team sport, and this becomes a personal part of the piece where some of the vocabularies can only connect to those who played volleyball before. In short, this piece is a movable volleyball player covered in volleyball vocabularies.
