Visual Narrative

Class: Time-Frame

Professor: Joseph Ayers

As a visual narrative, this project projects the emotions that are written in the Soundscape project. Inspired by The Pianist and the recent exhibition of Awshiwitch during World War II, this piece reflects the devastating phases that the victims had to face and the emotional stages that they had to overcome. Through the use of liquid watercolor, the motion of the ink symbolizes many things, such as bombs, tears, life, etc. As this piece reflects on the movie The Pianist, it also can reflect the repetition of time in history. Where historical events can repeat themselves through time and that they are inevitable. Therefore, I chose to reverse the videos towards the back to illustrate this idea.
